The organizer of the Nigerian Grassroots Leadership merit Award has announced the emergence of Hon. (mrs.) Euphemia Nwali, Executive chairman, Ezza South local government area, Ebonyi state as a recipient of the 2024 edition of the award in recognition of his visionary leadership in Ezza South local government area.
The Nigerian grassroots leadership merit award which is an annual award was instituted to celebrate and reward selfless leadership at the grassroots. The award conferment ceremony which will draw dignitaries from across the country shall be held in Abuja.
In a press release by the secretary, Nomination committee, Barr. Festus Adeboyeku said Hon. Euphemia Nwali nomination was based on her exceptional performance, people-oriented initiatives and laudable projects carried out in her local government area. He noted that Hon. Nwali who is currently in her second tenure in office as the executive chairman of Ezza South local government has demonstrated exemplary leadership by the level of impactful projects carried out in the council with the many human developmental initiatives in Ezza South local government area and this he said is indeed a living hope to the survival of our evolving democracy.
According to him, the award is to establish the culture of accountability and encourage the awardees to do more towards the development of Grassroots.
