Hon. Adamu Muhammad Waziri, Executive Chairman, Dukku Local Government Area, his counterpart in Kwami Local Government Area, Hon. Ahmed Wali Doho and Hon. Abubakar Hassan Difa, executive Chairman Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State have emerged as recipients of the 2025 Nigerian Grassroots Leadership Merit Award from Gombe state
According to a press statement released by the organizer, Scroll International, the Council Chairmen emerged after a thorough scrutiny of nominations by the general public based on performance and contribution to the development of the grassroots backed with the public voting on the scroll online platform
The Nigerian Grassroots Leadership Award which is an annual award was designed to celebrate and reward visionary leadership at the grassroots.
The award is to reward excellence, establish the culture of accountability as a symbol for responsible governance and encourage recipients to do more and challenge others to be alive to their responsibilities, the statement reads.
This year’s conferment ceremony which will draw dignitaries from across the country shall be held at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Abuja.
