Hon. Maniru Abubakar Wara the Executive Chairman, Ngaski Local Government Area, Kebbi State has emerged one of the winners for the 2025 Nigerian Grassroots Leadership Award.
According to a press statement released by the organizer, Scroll International, the Council Chairman emerged after a thorough scrutiny of nominations by the general public based on performance and contribution to the development of the grassroots backed with the public voting on the scroll online platform
According to the secretary Nomination committee, Barr. Festus Adeboyeku, the nomination of Hon. Abubakar was based on his impeccable service, tremendous efforts on Human development and security carried out in his local government area. He noted that Hon. Maniru’s developmental strides in Ngaski LGA is indeed a living hope to the survival of our emerging democracy.
The Nigerian Grassroots Leadership Award which is an annual award was designed to celebrate and reward visionary leadership at the grassroots. The award is to reward excellence, establish the culture of accountability as a symbol for responsible governance and encourage recipients to do more and challenge others to be alive to their responsibilities.
This year’s conferment ceremony which will draw dignitaries from across the country shall be in Abuja with dignitaries across the country to celebrate winners.
