In the words of Theodore Hesburgh, “The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet” Hon. Peter Dogara, chairman, Jema’a council area, Kaduna State, a visionary and Selfless leader has emerged as a recipient of the 2025 Nigerian Grassroots Leadership merit Award in recognition of his visionary leadership in Jema’a LGA.
The Nigerian grassroots leadership merit award which is an annual award was instituted to celebrate and reward selfless leadership at the grassroots. The award conferment ceremony which will draw dignitaries from across the country shall be held in Abuja.
In a press release by the secretary, Nomination committee, Barr. Festus Adeboyeku said Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara nomination was based on his impeccable service, tremendous efforts on infrastructural development and Human development initiatives carried out in his local government area. He noted that Hon Dogara’s developmental strides in Jema’a local council area is indeed a living hope to the survival of our emerging democracy.
According to him, the award is to establish the culture of accountability and encourage the awardees to do more towards the development of Grassroots.
