Bashir A. Yaro is a respected public administrator whose career reflects dedication to community development and service delivery in Kano State. Born on 29 March 1972 in Dambatta, he has built a solid educational and professional foundation that supports his contributions to governance and public affairs.
He began his education at Dambatta Primary School, where he obtained the Primary School Certificate in 1979. He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Dambatta where he earned the West African School Certificate in 1986. He later advanced his skills at the Vocational Training School, Kano, where he completed a Vocational Certificate between 1986 and 1989. His academic progression continued at Bayero University, Kano, where he obtained a Diploma in Public Administration from 1992 to 1995.
His working experience includes service with Gezawa and Gabasawa Local Governments, where he contributed to administrative processes and community-level governance. His expertise in public administration led to his appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kano State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, a position he has held since 2023.
Known for his disciplined approach to work, his interpersonal skills and his strong understanding of administrative structures, Bashir A. Yaro remains committed to improving governance systems and community engagement. He enjoys travelling, meeting people, physical exercise and reading on health-related subjects. He is married and blessed with nine children.
